Privacy

We have a great deal of respect for the privacy of our visitors. Below you will find details on what information RIG gathers from it’s visitors, how that information is gathered, and in what ways it is used. This statement also includes information on third-parties associated with RIG. If you have any questions regarding the collection or use of private information by RIG, please do not hesitate to contact us.

User-Given Information

At times, users on RIG may be asked to provide private information in order to gain access to certain areas of the site or participate in certain functions. For example, users must submit some information, such as name and email address, in order to leave comments or to receive our monthly newsletter. Users are also required to submit an email address when sending us a message through our contact forms.

Information gathered in this way will only be used for the purposes expressed by RIG at the time of submission. Submitted email addresses may be added to our monthly newsletter mailing list, but users will always have the option of immediately and permanently removing themselves from that list.

Email addresses and other private information will never be sold or provided in any other way to third parties by RIG.

Browser-Given Information

Like all web sites, RIG collects a small amount of information from your web browser at the time of your visit. Specifically, the web technology collects information about what browser you are using, the ISP you have visited us from, and the ISP’s geographic location. Please note that this is information routinely collected about all visitors by all web sites. RIG uses this information strictly to get a sense of who our users are so that we can best cater our content to their needs.

When leaving comments, RIG may set a ‘cookie’ on your computer. This is a small file saved to your browser’s program folder containing information about your forum settings. Your web browser and our forum software use this information to enhance your future visits. Cookies are a common internet technology used in one way or another by most sites. If you do not wish to have a cookie set on your computer, there are easy ways to set up your web browser to prevent RIG, and any other site, from doing so.

For more information about controlling cookies in a given browser, see:
